Anthura, the world famous breeding company established a subsidiary in Kunming to cultivate the young plants of Anthurium which is their specialty. It is known that the first phase project started recently, including 1.5 hectare greenhouse which will be completed in July this year, then trial production can be achieved later. The first group of young plants produced locally in China are expected for the market in the end of this year.
As Mr. Piet Keijzer(General Manager China, Anthura) said that the unique weather conditions in Kunming assures the good quality cultivation here.
　　The Kunming subsidiary which is specialized in producing young plants of Anthurium, annual output capacity can be reached 2.5 million plants. The company will also consider to introduce new varieties to China in the future, such as Bromeliad, Phalaenopsis etc.
